Ford has announced the 2013 Escape will be unveiled the Los Angeles Auto Show with three four-cylinder engines.

Ford hasn't said much about the 2013 Escape, but the company has just confirmed the crossover will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Set to compete in an ever growing segment, the redesigned Escape will feature a Kinetic design previewed by the Vertrek concept.

Under the hood, three four-cylinder engines will be available. Choices include the 2.5-liter Ti-VCT and two EcoBoost units displacing 1.6- and 2.0-liters. There's no word on specifications, but Ford says the EcoBoost models will deliver "class-leading fuel economy and performance." Additionally, the 1.6-liter EcoBoost is expected to return more than 31 mpg highway.
