At a recent investor's conference, Alfa Romeo revealed plans to launch four new models and an updated MiTo and Giulietta

At a recent investor's conference, Alfa Romeo revealed plans to become a "near-premium" brand that embraces style, performance and lightweight construction.

To start things off, the company will introduce an updated MiTo in 2013. It will be followed by a five-door variant which should help to increase its appeal among young families.

Later on in the year, the 4C will go into production and eventually be joined by a crossover which promises to blend "typical SUV versatility with true Alfa Romeo performance."

Lastly in 2014, we can expect the Giulia sedan / wagon, a new Spider, a luxury flagship and an updated Giulietta.

Besides adding new models, the company will also expand globally to increase their annual sales to roughly 400,000 units in 2014.
