Next-generation ATS spied on the ring still wearing Michigan plates. The model is expected to debut next year.

These spy shots are of the first round of European testing for the upcoming 2013 Cadillac ATS.

Spied this time on the Nürburgring, although still oddly wearing Michigan plates, the ATS is sporting a different camouflage disguise than it did the last time we spotted the model.

What we see here is a smaller version of the Cadillac CTS and we can make out the basic shape of the vehicle, although, the camo is still pretty heavy. But we do get a couple of interior shots of the cockpit.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS will be built on the new Alpha platform and is a competitor to the likes of the Audi A4/BMW 3-Series/Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It will come standard as a rear-wheel drive but also feature an all-wheel drive option. A performance edition, the ATS-V, may come with a turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 with an output of around 380 hp (283 kW / 385 PS).

The model is expected to debut next summer.
