New Avensis features a more aggressive styling with a front fascia that is the new face of the Toyota family.
Toyota has brought the freshened Avensis to the Frankfurt motor show.
The dimensions of the Avensis remain the same as with the previous model but Toyota claims its new styling is now bolder and more refined.
We see this with the new front fascia that Toyota says is the new 'face' of the family. The new headlights are narrower (and fitted with LED daytime running lights) and the lower grille is now bigger making for a more aggressive looking fascia.
Powering the new Avensis will be a choice of two diesels and one petrol unit. The 2.0 liter D-4D diesel comes in two power configurations - 124 PS (91 kW / 122 hp) and 148 PS (109 kW / 146 hp). The 124 PS diesel features a CO2 quotient of 119g/km, an improvement of 20 g/km over the previous edition of the engine. Both units are matched with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.
Also available is the 1.8 liter Valvematic petrol boasting an output of 145 PS (107 kW / 143 hp).
Tech offerings on the new Avensis include adaptive front lighting, Lane Departure Warning and an Advanced Pre-Crash Safety system.
