TT RS endurance racer now available to teams for competition in the 2012 season - priced at €180,000.
Audi Motorsport has announced the 2012 TT RS race version is now available for order.
Unlike the production car, the race-ready TT RS is a front-wheel driver car. Power comes from a modified 2.5 liter, 5-cylinder unit with an output of 380 PS (279 kW / 375 hp) coupled to a sequential, 6-speed racing transmission. The car was developed by the Technical Development division of Audi together with the automaker's Quattro GmbH unit.
The racer is specified for the SP4T class of the VLN Endurance Championship series and the TT RS won a class victory at the 24-hour endurance race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife this past June.
The 2012 Audi TT RS race version is available to racing teams for a net price of €180,000.
