A2 has been revived by Audi as an electric concept the automaker aims to take to production in the future and compete against the likes of the BMW i3.

This is the model Audi will place square up against the upcoming BMW i3.

The A2 has been revived and this time as an EV (electric vehicle) concept Audi aims to take to production in the near future.

The A2 Concept measures 3.80 meters (12.47 ft) long, 1.69 meters (5.54 ft) wide and 1.49 meters (4.89 ft) high. Those are the only real figures Audi provides in the press release which mostly covers the design aspects of the vehicle.

A 4-seater, the A2 features some unique interior design elements such as the center console that is attached to the driver's seat.

A funky exterior feature is the matrix beam of LED lights that makes for a special presence in the dark.

Audi will likely provide power-train details when the model debuts in Frankfurt on September 13.
