Alfa Romeo has previewed an updated 4C Concept which the Italian brand will be taking to Frankfurt next month.
The new 4C comes dressed in a new guise this time, Fluid Metal, a silver color, as opposed to the rusty red from Geneva.
Power on the 2-seat, mid-engine 4C coupe will come from a 1.8 liter turbocharged unit producing over 200 PS (147 kW / 197 bhp) and Alfa says the 4C weighs in at around 850 kg (1870 lbs), which is achieved through the use of alumimum and carbon fiber in its construction.
With that lightweight build, top speed on the 4C is over 250 km/h (155 mph) and 0 to 100 km/h will clock in at under 5 seconds.
But 850 kg figures sounds like a difficult figure to meet when the 4C actually makes it to the assembly line. But Alfa says the 4C is going to market in 2013 so we'll see then what the differences are between the concept and the final production model.
