Hyundai has announce U.S. pricing for the 2012 Veloster model.
Prices for the 3-door coupe will start at $18,060 for the 6-speed manual, including a $760 delivery charge. The 6-speed dual-clutch Veloster starts at $19,310 (also including destination charges). Both models come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder GDI engine that produces 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS) and 123 lb-ft (167 Nm) of torque.
The model is priced to compete with the likes of the MINI Cooper, Scion tC and the Volkswagen Beetle.
The 2012 Hyundai Veloster goes on sale in the United States in September.
Expected to enter the lineup later is the Veloster Turbo, which will feature a 1.6 liter turbocharged GDI unit with 210 PS (155 kW / 207 bhp) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque.
