New open-wheel iRacer will debut at an event in November after which EVCUP organizers are planning on a full series racing season for 2012.

EVCUP will be bringing its electric iRacer to the EcoVelocity low-carbon motor festival which takes place at London's Battersea Power Station from September 8 to 11.

Says EVCUP managing director Sylvain Filippi:
"We are very excited at the prospect of unveiling the iRacer and we are delighted to be taking part in EcoVelocity, an event that helps to highlight the importance of driving cleaner, greener cars in our urban environments."

The open-wheel iRacer will be used in EVCUP events in the United States starting in November with two races in California. The first one will take place at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on November 26. A second event is set for the 17th of December at the auto Club Speedway.

EVCUP organizers plan a full series for the 2012 season.
