Brand unveils new logo for the upcoming, rear-wheel drive model developed jointly with Toyota which has dubbed its version the FT-86.

Subaru has released the name of its upcoming version of the FT-86, developed in tandem with Toyota.

The new rear-wheel drive sports coupe will be named the Subaru BRZ and Subaru has unveiled the car's new badge/logo here too.

BRZ represents the initials for Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Zenith.

Production of the BRZ is slated to begin next spring but the car will make its debut as the Subaru BRZ Prologue - Boxer Sports Car Architecture II at the Frankfurt motor show next month.
