Bugatti Veyron production is starting to wind down and a new report is indicating the Grand Sport could go out with a bang.

In an interview with De Telegraaf's Autovise, Bugatti President Wolfgang Durheimer hinted the model could get a high performance variant. He ruled out the possibility of a 1,200 PS (883 kW / 1,184 hp) Super Sport, but said a Grand Sport with "more than 1,001 PS (736 kW / 987 hp) is certainly possible."

Furthermore, Durheimer revealed the company has already sold 40 Grand Sports (out of 150) and a customer in the Middle East recently bought eight Veyrons - two for themselves and six for friends.
