TT RS begins deliveries this year while the RS5 will be introduced in the U.S. in 2012.

Audi will be bringing more RS models to American shores.

The German premium brand acknowledges that it will have to introduce more RS models in that market in order to meet the competition from BMW's M division and Mercedes-Benz AMG models.

"The technical capabilities of the Audi brand are perfectly distilled in the RS models," says President of Audi of America, Johan de Nysschen. "For the past few years, American sports car enthusiasts have pleaded with us to make the marque available here."

Next month Audi will bring the TT RS model to U.S. dealerships (although deliveries on pre-orders have already begun) and the RS5, which will compete with the iconic BMW M3 Coupe, is slated for a 2012 introduction.
