Looking virtually identical to the LF-Gh concept, the production model has a distinctive 'hourglass' grille and sweptback headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. Additionally, the cabin is rumored to adopt premium leather upholstery and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.
Engine specifications haven't been released, but choices are slated to include a 3.5-liter V6, a hybridized 3.5-liter V6 and possibly a four-cylinder diesel for Europe.
According to Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager, "Today, buyers in the mid-size luxury segment want a more engaging driving experience, styling that makes a statement, and a roomier interior package. With the all-new GS, we're giving them what they asked for, and more."
