Black Falcon SLS AMG GT3 places third at the endurance race with driver Kenneth Heyer on the podium-making team - son of Hans Heyer who won at Spa 40 years ago.
Well, Kenneth Heyer has made his father proud.
The son of 24 hrs of Spa winner from 1971 has placed third in the race with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 Black Falcon.
Wearing the same number 35 as did Hans Heyer on his Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG 40 years ago, the team of Kenneth Heyer/Thomas Jäger/Stéphane Lémeret finished third, just 10 laps behind the winners in a 545 lap race after having begun at number 19 on the grid.
Said Thomas Jäger: "We are very happy about our podium finish today after such a demanding race...Performance and reliability of the SLS AMG GT3 were the keys to today's success."
The winner at Spa was Audi Sport Team WRT in their Audi R8 LMS while the Need for Speed Team Schubert came in second in their BMW Z4 GT3.
