World Monster Rally Team develops a unique Ford Fiesta that can be configured for Stage Rally, Rallycross or Gymkhana.
Ken Block is a busy man. And he needs a different car for each of the disciplines of competition he takes part in - Stage Rally, Rallycross, and Gymkhana.
So why not build one very flexible Ford Fiesta that can be easily configured for each?
Well, the engineers over at the Monster World Rally Team have done just that and introduced this H.F.H.V., or the "Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle" - a car that can readily be modified for each competition.
"My WRC Fiesta just can't do what my Gymkhana Fiesta can, and vice versa. But having to campaign three separate cars is a nightmare, so we built one car that can be transformed to suit each form of racing I do on the highest level," says Block in the press release.
The car comes with a 2.0 liter turbocharged unit that can be dialed up to 600 bhp (447 kW / 608 PS) and 665 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, depending on the configuration required. The car can change suspension and wheel set-ups too. It can even be turned into a street-legal vehicle.
Sounds like loads of fun.
How can we get to play too?
