Ferrari has taken the wraps off the new 458 Italia Grand Am race car.

Developed in conjunction with Michelotto Automobili, the Grand Am is based on the GT3 and is fully-compliant with all requisite safety and performance regulations. As such, the car has been outfitted with a 500 PS (368 kW / 493 hp) V8 engine, a roll bar, a 48 mm restrictor and Continental tires. However, the vehicle is more notable for what it lacks - namely anti-lock brakes and traction control.
