Built to celebrate World Environment Day, the Beat prototype features a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery that sends power to a 61 PS (45kW / 60 hp) electric motor.

Chevrolet has unveiled the Beat Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) concept in India.

Built to celebrate World Environment Day, the prototype features a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery that sends power to a 61 PS (45kW / 60 hp) electric motor. This setup enables the car to travel approximately 130 km (81 miles) on a single charge. When the battery is depleted, it can be fully recharged in less than eight hours using a 240V outlet.

While the model isn't destined for production, at least in its current form, engineers will evaluate the prototype to help identify ways to make EV technology more affordable.
