Chevrolet has announced the 2012 Volt will be offered nationwide in the United States.
While the powertrain is unchanged, the car gains a passive entry system, the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and OnStar Turn by Turn navigation. The Volt is also available in two new exterior colors (Summit White and Blue Topaz Metallic) as well as two new interior trims (white and spiced red).
According to Volt marketing director Cristi Landy, "We are giving consumers greater choice of content as the Volt becomes available nationwide by the end of this year. This gives us the opportunity to be more flexible in our pricing and still provide additional high-tech content to customers who want to purchase it."
Pricing starts at $39,995 (or $32,495 after a $7,500 federal tax credit) and the company is currently accepting pre-orders.
