Winners at the 2011 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este included two classic Alfa Romeo models.
The full list of winners of the 2011 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este have been announced after the event took place over the past weekend.
The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este was held in the Italian town of Cernobbio on the banks of Lake Como in the northern part of the country and the top award went to a 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.
The Trofeo BMW Group was awarded by a jury to the classic Alfa (a Stradale Berlinetta Scaglione owned by Clive Joy of the UK) in an event meant to honor automotive history.
The Coppa d'Oro prize, an award given by public vote, went to a 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS.
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato won the Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes, also by public referendum, at the Villa Erba showing.
The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este also served as the debut point for the BMW 328 Hommage concept, marking the 75th birthday of the classic 328 sports car from the late 30s.
