Hydrogen-powered vehicle has an accident as it attempts a world drive to prove its road-going mettle.
A Mercedes-Benz B-Class F-Cell has crashed in Kazakhstan while taking part in a drive around the globe.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.
The hydrogen-powered B-Class was participating in the F-Cell World Drive, a project of Mercedes-Benz to prove the real-world viability of its F-Cell technology.
The B-Class F-Cell Number 3 was damaged in the accident and will not immediately be able to continue its journey. The car has already traveled more than 23,000 km (14,290 miles) during the project. Another vehicle was involved in the accident and the local police are investigating the incident.
A seperate B-Class F-Cell will take the Number 3's spot on the trip.
