Opel lifts the V-max on the Insignia OPC from 250 km/h to a still electronically-limited 270 km/h.

Opel is now offering a special edition Insignia OPC with a higher top speed.

The Opel Insignia OPC Unlimited features the same 325 PS (239 kW/ 321 bhp) as the standard model but with the V-max lifted from 250 km/h (155 mph) to a still electronically-limited 270 km/h (168 mph).

Distinguishing the Insignia OPC Unlimited will be a blue Brembo caliper logo and newly-designed speedometer and tachometer. Opel will also issue a special edition version in a matte black finish.

The performance model still comes with all-wheel drive and a choice of either the six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The Insignia OPC Unlimited will also come in all available body styles - those include the four-door notchback sedan, five-door hatchback and the Sports Tourer wagon.

An OPC performance driving training course is also part of the package with the instruction class taking place at Opel's own test grounds in Dudenhofen.

Sales of the Opel Insignia OPC Unlimited begin this month with prices starting at €48,605 in Germany.
