According to a recent report, Jaguar will launch a crossover within four years.

Additional details are starting to emerge about Jaguar's crossover as a new report is indicating that it will be launched within four years.

Designed to battle the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne, the Jag will reportedly ride on an aluminum chassis that shares components with the next-generation Range Rover. Despite the similarities, Jaguar will differentiate the model but adopting a more road-focused setup that will likely eschew some of the hardcore off-road technology.

Besides the crossover, Jaguar is also slated to launch an entry-level roadster in 2012 and an X-type replacement in 2013 or 2014.
