To help address some questions raised by the incident, American television network NBC managed to get the driver on the phone to clarify.

In response to yesterday's flying 2x4 article that almost impaled a women driver, we received several emails and comments insisting the video was fake.

To help address some questions raised by the incident such as, "Why was the driver, Wendy Cobb, filming while driving in the first place," American television network NBC managed to get the North Carolina mother on the phone to clarify.

Wendy explains that the two vehicles in front we're blocking the two lane highway and she wanted to get them on video to report them to the authorities. That was when the trailer in front kicked up a 2x4 wooden plank lying by the side of the road hurling it at Wendy's Kia Sedona at great speed. The wooded projectile crashed through the Kia's windshield just missing Wendy by inches.

Thankfully, Wendy's only injuries were minor glass cuts while the Kia suffered damage to the roof and windshield only.
