Prior to its imminent debut at Pebble Beach, the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Jota is making an early online debut courtesy of an official image posted by H.R. Owen dealership in U.K.
The painstakingly long teaser campaign is finally over as the world’s fastest production car at the Nürburgring is revealing a good chunk of its exotic body to show numerous upgrades over the Aventador S. Immediately noticeable are the horizontal slats to the left and right of the raging bull logo, along with the prominent carbon fiber front spoiler lip. The more aggressive bumper features beefy extensions at its corners, while the distinctive shape of the rear wing makes the SVJ stand out furthermore.
We will have to wait a little bit more to see the side profile and the rear end, but expect a lot of aero trickery thanks to the Lamborghini Active Aerodynamics (ALA) first implemented on the Huracan Performante Coupe and later on the equivalent Spyder.
As you may recall, a great deal of the juicy specs has already been disclosed by Top Gear magazine after taking a prototype for a spin. The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 has been massaged to deliver 760 horsepower and 531 pound-feet (720 Newton-meters) of torque, while the advanced aero tech will enable the Aventador SVJ to generate nearly 500 kilograms of downforce at maximum speed.
All will be revealed later this week or perhaps in the coming hours, so stay tuned to find out all there is to know about the flagship Lamborghini model. The supercar needed only 6 minutes and 44.97 seconds to become the Lord of the ‘Ring, but its record might be in jeopardy as hypercars like the Mercedes-AMG Project One and the Aston Martin Valkyrie might dethrone the SVJ.
