Conceived as a prop, the experimental band Apparatjik has turned a smart fortwo electric drive into a disco ball. Covered completely in reflective glass tiles from the roof to the hub caps, the glare inducing vehicle is featured in the band's film titled 'Pixel City' which will be shown as part of an art installation at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin on March 26 and 27.

Apparatjik group members include well-known pop musicians Magne Furuholmen of a-ha, Guy Berryman of Coldplay, Jonas Bjerre of Mew and music producer Martin Terefe.

Their experimental art installation "Apparatjik Light Space Modular" features an interactive display which collects data to be turned into a song.  Later that song will be performed by the prestigious Deutsches Kammerorchester while accompanied by a spectacular image show titled 'Apparat TV'.

The projections will be streamed out of a six meter tall cube into the city through the museum's glass walls. Inside that cube is where Apparatjik will be performing live as the installation's climax.
