Video shows Pininfarina-designed De Tomaso crossover with a very 5-Series GT-like look at a presentation in Rome ahead of its Geneva debut.
Here's a video of the De Tomaso SLC (concept?) in the bare during a presentation in Rome ahead of its public debut at the Geneva auto show.
Finally able to see the 5-Series GT-like Pininfarina design of the SLC, it's styling seems a little uninspired. It has a bulky shape with no unique features that speak 'Italian exotic'. For a boutique marque trying to make a comeback, it may not be enough.
The SLC is slated to go to production next year (2012) and will be offered in three power plant variants - a 550 PS (405 kW / 542 bhp) V8 range-topper, a V6 doling out 300 PS (221 kW / 296 bhp) and V6 diesel with 250 PS (184 kW / 247 bhp).
The SLC will get a proper model name at a later date.
De Tomaso is also promising two other models - a coupe and a luxury sedan.
The De Tomaso SLC will debut at the Geneva auto show next month.
