Hyundai has announced plans to introduce the Veloster rally car at the Chicago Auto Show.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a flying Hyundai Veloster in rally guise!

Set to be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, the race-prepped car features a blue and white paint scheme, a massive rear wing, and what one can only hope is a beefy suspension.

Official information won't be announced until Wednesday, but the standard Veloster is powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS) and 123 lb-ft (167 Nm) of torque. We suspect the rally variant will employ some sort of turbocharging, but we'll find out soon enough.
