Chicago-based tuner IND Distribution will develop a BMW 1-Series M Coupe CSL project car based on Sibal's rendering.

Chicago-based tuner IND Distribution will develop a kit for the new BMW 1-Series M Coupe based on the CSL rendering of the model by graphic designer Jon Sibal.

"I'm excited and honored to work with the crew at IND Distribution. I'll be posting some updates here as the project progress," Sibal wrote on his blog announcing the deal.

The rendered 1-Series M Coupe in Alpine White with CSL graphics (which we covered back in December) was a wish-fulfillment project by Sibal which stood little chance to ever get made by BMW. Now, IND Distribution, which does tuning for a variety of marques including BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz, as well as serving as a distributor for Eisenmann Exhaust Systems in North America, will make a kit out of the rendering to bring the car to life.

Also, involved in the project will be Patrick BMW, ESS Tuning, Brembo, KW, Challenge Engineering and Eisenmann will likely supply the 1-Series M project car's sport exhaust.

As Sibal has promised, more details are sure to follow.
