Kia has released the first pictures of the redesigned 2012 Picanto.
Designed to be bolder and more mature, the new Picanto features a prominent front fascia, sculpted doors and unique taillights. It is slightly longer than the current model and sports an extended wheelbase which promises to "redefine its position as one of the most competitive vehicles in its segment." More importantly, the car will be available in a new three-door body style.
Under the hood, power will be provided by "four all-new powertrains in 1.0- and 1.2-liter displacements." Details are limited, but Kia says they will all deliver "class leading CO2 emissions levels."
The 2012 Picanto will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
