American tuner adds its own supercharger to the R8 V10 Spyder for 185 extra horses and 190 Nm of additional torque too.

They call it the Audi R8 Spyder Challenge Extreme Edition and it is STaSIS Engineering's tuned variant of the Audi R8 V10 Spyder.

The American tuner adds its own supercharger to the 5.2 liter V10 power plant for a total output of 710 PS (700 bhp / 522 kW) - up substantially from the series' 525 PS (518 bhp / 386 kW). Torque is also bumped up by a resounding 140 lb-ft (190 Nm). That makes the R8 Spyder now do the 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint in 3.1 seconds compared to the standard model's 3.7.

STaSIS Engineering also does some upgrading of the suspension with improved dampers and springs and fits the R8 V10 Spyder with larger wheels. host, Matt Farah, may seem a little too giddy for one's tastes. Though, it's hard to find an auto journalist who's well versed enough with supercars to give you an honest assessment of how well the car does against the benchmarks of the segment. Usually, they just gush on about how great the car is.
