Developed specially for India, the Etios features generic styling and a 1.5-liter engine.

Toyota has unveiled the 2011 Etios, which was specifically developed for India.

Virtually identical to the Etios concept, the production model measures 4,265 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,510mm tall.  It is powered by a 1.5-liter engine which promises to deliver respectable performance and exceptional fuel efficiency.

If you're more partial to a hatchback, a five-door variant - dubbed the Etios Liva - will be launched in April with a 1.2-liter engine.

Pricing starts at 496,000 rupees ($10,950 / €8,300) and Toyota expects an annual output of 70,000 units.
