Buick has officially unveiled the 2011 GL8 minivan for China.
Drawing inspiration from the Business concept, the GL8 features distinctive headlights, a waterfall grille, and faux porthole vents. It rides on a 3,088mm wheelbase and measures a substantial 5,256mm long, 1,878mm wide, and 1,800mm tall.
Inside, the seven-passenger cabin is elegantly appointed with a wrap-around dashboard, blue ambient lighting, wood trim, and tasteful metallic accents. Options include two-tone leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, power-sliding doors, a Bose audio system, and a rear seat entertainment system with a 10.2-inch screen.
Power is provided by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Ecotec or a 3.0-liter V6 SIDI. No word on outputs, but both are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing starts at 288,000 RMB ($43,195 / €32,800) and deliveries are scheduled to begin in January.
