Aston Martin has unveiled the facelifted 2011 GT4. It features a revised body kit and a remapped 4.7-liter V8 engine with more power and torque
Just in time for a new racing season, Aston Martin has unveiled the facelifted 2011 GT4.
Drawing inspiration from the V12 Vantage, the GT4's aerodynamic body kit features a new front splitter, a larger rear spoiler, a carbon fiber diffuser, and a redesigned underfloor which channels more air into the transmission oil cooler.
Under the hood, the 4.7-liter V8 engine has a remapped ECU that offers "increased levels of power and torque." It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission (a 'Sportshift' automatic is optional) which sends power to the rear wheels through a limited slip differential.
While most of the other equipment carries over from the previous GT4, new options include a traction control system and Bosch anti-lock brakes (ABS).
No word on pricing or availability, but the GT4 will be eligible to compete in a number of events including the European GT4 Cup and the Challenge of Great Britain.
