Luca de Montezemolo slips into the Stratos and takes it for a spin around Ferrari's Fiorano race track in Maranello, Italy.

The boss comes down to the shop floor to get his hands dirty.

Here's a video of Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo test driving the upcoming Lancia Stratos revival which features a Ferrari-sourced 4.3 liter V8 under the rear bonnet.

Still in his spiffy business attire, including a white handkerchief in pocket, de Montezemolo slips into the Stratos and takes it for a spin around Ferrari's Fiorano race track in Maranello, Italy.

We await final details on the model but it is expected to be a top performing supercar with a power-to-weight ratio of 2.25 kg/hp or 364 hp per tonne and a dead-even weight distribution of 50:50.

A previous look inside the cockpit showed a redline engine speed of 9,000 rpm and a speedometer maxing out at 360 km/h (224 mph).

The Stratos will be highly limited series with only around 25 units to be built.
