Mercedes-Benz performance division AMG and Italian motorbike maker Ducati have announced a new partnership venture at the Los Angeles motor show today.

"AMG and Ducati ideally complement each other...This long-term cooperation will help us to jointly access new customer groups," said Ola Källenius, CEO of AMG, in the press release.

But what does this partnership entail?

Well, at first it will be about joint marketing and sponsoring. AMG will become a sponsor for Ducati's MotoGP Team. And at selected events, AMG vehicles will be provided to Ducati customers for test drives as will Ducati performance motorbikes be available for clients at AMG events.

What comes after that...who knows.
