Dodge has released the first details about the facelifted 2011 Journey.
The updated model features new bumpers, a revised grille, "ring of fire" LED taillights, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin is completely redesigned with a new dashboard, a revised instrument cluster, and a new steering wheel. Other goodies include new seats, soft-touch armrests, and extra cushioning on the center console.
Under the hood, the 3.5-liter V6 has been replaced by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. It produces 283 hp (211 kW / 287 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque - 48 hp (36 kW / 49 PS) and 28 lb-ft (38 Nm) more than previous engine.
To improve handling and responsiveness, engineers added a new steering system, a retuned suspension, and better tires.
No word on pricing, but the 2011 Journey will go on sale later this year.
