Race-ready version of the the Genesis Coupe gets the 3.8 liter V6 to produce 330 bhp (246 kW) and 280 lb-ft (379 Nm) of torque.
Here's yet another Hyundai Genesis Coupe tuned for the SEMA show. This time Hyundai has partnered with Gogogear Racing for this track-ready model called the Gogogear Racing Genesis Coupe.
Gogogear will be doing a little work on the Genesis Coupe's 3.8 liter V6 in order to bring its numbers up to 330 bhp (246 kW) and 280 lb-ft (379 Nm) of torque. It will do so by means of an AEM air intake, ARK performance headers and a Magnaflow exhaust system. It will also move the new Optima battery to the rear for better weight balance.
A lightweight race clutch from Spec will be coupled to the production 6-speed manual gearbox.
For the suspension comes a Ground Control kit with ARK performance coilovers and QA1 bearings.
Gogogear also adds wheels from Konig and BF Goodrich R1 race tires that are also street legal. StopTech brakes and racing pads from Hawk will also help out in managing the 1.4 Gs of cornering force Gogogear says the Racing Genesis Coupe will have.
Improved aerodynamics and weight reduction come from the APR rear wing, ARK performance body kit and a new carbon fiber roof.
On the inside is a custom roll cage, Sparco race seats and belts, a fire-suppression system and a two-way radio. There's also a data logger for lap times and other critical feedback from the car.
"The Genesis Coupe is designed to convey that Hyundai can not only match the best from Asia, Europe and America, but beat them," said Gogogear Racing owner Ali Arsham.
