New Skoda Roomster due next year with updated features such as larger headlights and a new grill. The Skoda Roomster will benefit from VW's stable of engines including the 1.2 liter and 1.6 liter TDI diesels.

Here are some spy pics of the facelifed Skoda Roomster doing some testing somewhere in the Alpine region of Europe.

These prototypes feature a substantial amount of camouflage covering what will be new front and rear ends including new front grill, broader 3-D headlights and front and rear bumpers. Also expected are new paint color offerings and new aluminum rims for certain trim variants.

Under the bonnet, the Roomster will benefit from the stable of VW engines available. Those will include the 1.2 liter TDI with 55kW (75 PS) and a 1.6 TDI producing 77kW (105 PS).

The new Skoda Roomster is expected to go on sale in Europe sometime in 2011.
