Smart has unveiled an electric bicycle concept at the Paris Motor Show.
Dubbed the ebike, the concept features a 250 watt wheel hub motor and a 36V lithium-ion battery. This combination delivers extra power when the rider pedals, which "conserves the rider's strength in everyday use."
Furthermore, there are four power levels but assistance is automatically cut off at 25 km/h (15.5 mph). Riders can expect to travel 30-90 km (19-56 miles) on a single, depending on which power level they select. Of course, if you do manage to deplete the battery, it can be fully recharged in two to three hours.
In tech department, there's an integrated smartphone slot which turns a rider's mobile device into an instrument cluster, navigation system, and ignition key.
