Monaco based Venturi Automobiles has maintained the tradition of unveiling a new electric powered concept vehicle at the Paris Motor Show for the past several outings.  The manufacturer of limited-production electric vehicles has previously shown the Volage, Eclectic, Astrolab and Fetish and now uses its home motor show to reveal the America.

Sporting a raised ride height and open T-top cock pit, the America is a kind of dune buggy powered by a single electric motor that outputs 300 PS (221 kW / 296 bhp) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) or torque.  Despite its punchy output and carbon fiber chassis, the America only has a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and a range of 300 km (186 mi) - still no match for the tesla roadster which reaches 393 km (244 mi) on a single charge.

Stay tuned for more details and photos.
