Chevrolet has announced plans to sell the second Camaro Convertible at the Mandalay Bay Barrett-Jackson Auction on September 24th.

While it sounds odd that GM is auctioning off the second model, the company will keep the first convertible for historical purposes. Furthermore, since the car won't be unveiled until this fall - likely at the LA Auto Show - the Camaro Convertible Concept will be shown at the auction.  Regardless, all proceeds will go to support the YMCA of Southern Nevada.

Set to go into production early next year, the Camaro Convertible will be offered with a 312 hp (233 kW/ 316 PS) 3.6-liter V6, a 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) 6.2-liter V8 and a 426 hp (318 kW / 432 PS) 6.2-liter V8.
