In the lastest round of embargo leakage, the SSC Ultimate Aero II has hit the interwebs. Details are limited, but it is expected to surpass the 268 mph top speed of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

Our friends at Jalopnik have managed to get their hands on the first images of the SSC Ultimate Aero II. Leaked from a photo shoot for Top Gear magazine.

Designed to reclaim the title as the world's fast production vehicle, the UAII features a stunning exterior pinned by Jason Castriota. If the name doesn't ring a bell, he's the man behind the Ferrari 599, Maserati GranTurismo, and Bertone Mantide - just to name a few.

As you may recall, the first generation Aero become the world's fastest car when it hit 412 km/h (256.14 mph) in 2007. Three years later, Bugatti retook the record by going 431.072 km/h (268 mph) in the Veyron Super Sport.

More information will be released on September 8th, so stay tuned for details.
