Land Rover has jumped ahead of it's SUV rivals with the impending introduction of the 2-door Evoque. Now BMW are ready to offer their own version with the introduction of a coupe based on the recently launched Countryman.
Not yet confirmed by the bigwigs at BMW, the MINI Countryman Coupe would go for a conventional 2-door layout or possibly four-door incorporating a set of rearward opening doors.
The new model will be targeting a retail price of about £20,000, putting it well below the Evoque which is expected to cost another €10,000 on top of this figure.
Another model currently on the table is the Minissimo – an entry-level city car with a 2+1 layout.
