Brabus has unveiled their new tuning program for the Mercedes SLS AMG. Full coverage inside.

Brabus has unveiled their new tuning program for the Mercedes SLS AMG.

Designed to encompass the philosophy of "carbon fiber, handling and ultra lightweight", the program centers around making a good vehicle better.

To this end, the tuner offers an aerodynamic carbon fiber styling package that consists of a front spoiler, two upper air inlets (for improved engine cooling), revised front fender vents (with an illuminated Brabus logo), an aggressive rear diffuser, and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Other goodies include ultra-light Monoblock F PLATINUM EDITION wheels (which weigh 12% less than stock) and a modified suspension module which can lower the car 40mm (1.6 inches) or raise it 50mm (2 inches).

Inside, the company offers an ergonomically-shaped sport steering wheel, illuminated stainless-steel scuff plates, custom leather upholstery, and carbon fiber or exotic wood trim.

Under the hood, Brabus engineers installed a titanium sport exhaust system which weighs 12 kilograms (26 lbs) less than the standard one. It features 84mm (3.3 inch) tips and a "pneumatically controlled bypass gate that is activated from the cockpit."

If you're disappointed the 6.3-liter V8 hasn't been turned into some kind of asphalt swallowing monster, Brabus promises their engine tuning program is in the final stage of development and should be released soon.
