Dodge is advancing development of its range topping SRT8 vehicles. Just yesterday we brought you spy shots of the range topping Grand Cherokee SRT8 out testing. Now the even hotter Dodge Charger SRT8 has been caught.
The thin layer of disguise over the front end was momentarily removed revealing an aggressive front bumper fascia and grille. The rear features a little extra black cladding, but we can tell you it is hiding full-width tail lights similar to the style of the Challenger.
Expect to see a fairly intense power boost compared to the current Dodge Charger SRT8 which pumps out 425 horsepower from it's 4.1-liter HEMI V8 engine. Dodge is currently working on a new 6.4-liter that will pump out more than 500hp. This puts it well within reach of its closest competitor: the 556 hp Cadillac CTS-V – a model our spy photgrapher reports the Dodge engineers were using as a benchmark vehicle.
The 2011 Dodge Charger SRT8 is expected to make its world public debut at the 2010 Los Angeles Motor Show in November before making its big screen debut in the fifth installment of the Fast & Furious movie.
