Second limited edition Scion for 2008, the coupe will have a base price of US$ 17,000 in the USA

Scion may really be thinking of spreading its wings towards the Old World, as a spy-video of the xD model in the Austrian Alps has already revealed, but it surely won’t forget the market it was born for, the USA. That’s why the company has reserved a surprise for the Americans, the tC Release Series 4.0, which will debut at the Chicago Auto Show.

The tC Release Series 4.0, also known as RS, is the second limited edition Scion for 2008 (already) and it will have a suggested price tag of US$ 17,000 for the manual transmition option and US$ 17,800 for the automatic transmition car.

As it is a tradition in Scion, the limited editions allow the company to offer more equipments for a better price. The RS 4.0 will have only 2,300 units built and will differ from a regular tC because of its Galactic Gray Mica exterior paint, its DAMD body kit, gray and black Alcantara seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel, the “tC RS 4.0” inscription on the front and rear seats, black leather and dark wood RAZO shift knob and an individually numbered badge. All for US$ 2,770, what is a bargain considering the price all these features could have if bought as optional equipment.
