New suspension kit offers damping control to soften the ride of this off-roader.

German tuner BRABUS has a new suspension tuning kit for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The Ride Control Suspension from BRABUS tries to lessen the roughness of the G-Class ride while still maintaining its off-road credentials. BRABUS claims the new suspension kit will be particularly advantageous at low speeds and on rugged terrain by providing a softer ride. For higher speeds, the stiffer setting on the kit provides for an improved and safe handling.

The package includes newly developed gas-pressure shocks for both axles with a damper control function to make them softer or stiffer. The changes can be made at the touch of an aluminum switch inside the cabin on the center console. Driver's can choose between two settings - 'extra comfortable' and 'sporty comfortable'. The change takes milliseconds and can be done while the vehicle is in motion.

The package is available for all G-Class models including the G 350 CDI, G 500 (known as the G550 in the U.S.) and the G 55 AMG.
