Check out the new SSC Ultimate Aero, and find out how you can attend its unveiling, inside.

Shelby SuperCars will privately unveil the next SSC Ultimate Aero during a reception at the Boeing Museum of Flight in Seattle.  The car will be unveiled on August 8 by Jerod Shelby, who will be joined on stage by the lead designer, Jason Casriota.

Castriota, formerly with Pininfarina, was the chief designer on the Ferrari 599 as well as the Maserati Birdcage and Gran Turismo.  Aside from the presentations, the event will begin with a short display of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet performance team.

The second-generation SSC Ultimate Aero will attempt to take the title of "World's Fastest Production Car."  As a first generation, the Aero took the record in 2007 after hitting 412 km/h (256.14 mph), but that was recently shattered.

With a top speed of 431.072 km/h (268 mph), the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is now the car to beat.

Hopefully, we will find out more about the second-generation SSC Ultimate Aero test schedule at the August event.  Unfortunately, do not expect many more photos to make it out of the presentation as cameras and cell phones will be heavily restricted.

Tickets for the August presentation are still available for $80.
