Ferrari World in UAE will open on October 28. The theme park will feature a rollercoaster ride called the Formula Rossa as well as a Junior GT where kids can race in scaled-down versions of the F430 GT Spider.
Ferrari World - a full-fledged theme park by the Italian sports car-maker - will open in Abu Dhabi in 3 months.
The theme park in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) is scheduled to fling open the doors on October 28 and will feature a series of attractions related to Ferrari's automotive prowess and with a little taste of Italy on the side too.
One of main attractions will definitely be the Formula Rossa rollercoaster ride which outruns most Ferraris, reaching a speed of 240 km/h in under five seconds. Able to carry 16 passengers (on four cars), the roller coaster accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.0 seconds and climbs to a maximum height of 52 meters (171 feet). The 2.07 km (1.29 miles) long course also features a series of "sharp turns and sudden drops" which generate 1.7 Gs.
For kids there will also be the Junior GT, where children will be taught to race reduced-scale F430 GT Spiders on a track. There will also be a Junior Grand Prix race, with scaled-down versions of Ferrari F1 cars.
For a little Italy in the Middle-East there is the Viaggio in Italia - a virtual aerial tour of Italy's most spectacular features, both man-made and natural. And, of course, an Italian dining experience can be had at a host of restaurants under the red roof of the 200,000 m² site.
