Get a first look at the facelifted 2011 Dodge Challenger. Details and pics inside.

A Moparts forum user managed to score a few pictures of the 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T facelift earlier this week.  The pictures show the retro-inspired muscle car with minor modifications, and no camouflage.

Amongst the changes are a new front bumper with a new intake opening which is essential turned upside down.  Redesigned door handles can also be seen.  It is uncertain if the Dodge emblem at the front has been left off intentionally, or if it has simply not yet been installed.  Pointing to its elimination is the "Challenger" and "R/T" badging already tacked onto the grille.

No photos of the rear were provided.  The car can be seen riding on new blacked-out five-spoke wheels, which already look to have been scratched.

Only three years into its product cycle, look for the facelifted Challenger to debut by the end of the year, possibly in Los Angeles.  The car is expected to get a selection of new engines, including a redesigned 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 sending out up to 300 horsepower (224 kW) for the Challenger SE base model.  The top shelf Challenger SRT8 could get a new 6.4-liter V8 unit pushing out about 480 hp (358 kW), a 13% increase over the current model.
